Vegan wines
Vegan wines are those produced without the use of any animal-derived products throughout the winemaking process.
While traditional winemaking often utilizes fining agents such as egg whites, casein (milk protein), gelatin (derived from bones and cartilage), and isinglass (fish bladder protein) to remove impurities and sediments, vegan wines opt for plant-based or mineral alternatives. These alternatives include bentonite (a type of clay), activated charcoal, silica gel, and plant proteins.
